Optional: Local Installation
Chapter in preparation
This chapter was long advertised but never written — it is being authored in the Part II content pass. Until then, use Google Colab, which requires no installation.
What it will cover. Running GenJAX on your own machine instead of Colab:
a Python environment (conda/venv), installing jax and genjax, verifying
the install with the book’s first model, and the differences to expect from
Colab (no free GPU, but no session timeouts).
This project is generously funded by the Japanese Probabilistic Computing Consortium Association (JPCCA).
